Second in the Passengers series

Passengers: LHR is a visual essay on the effect of the COVID pandemic on world travel, seen through the official London Heathrow passenger numbers from March 2020 to September 2021. Visually inspired by the aesthetic of departure boards, the movement, colours and sounds respond to the ebb and flow of passengers travelling through one of the world's busiest airports, in response to the varying restrictions over a period of 580 days.
