The Art of Form and Code

💥A new generative print is now live on @producedforuse. Flocks, Herds and Schools pays tribute to Craig W. Reynolds 1987 paper of the same name detailing his boids flocking algorithm.

Using my 2016 AxiDraw, each unique work creates a flocking motion of emergent paths whilst avoiding the title’s typography drawn using Warbler by @djrrb. Created on handmade cotton paper with a decal edge, edition of only 100, signed and numbered.

I get a William Blake feeling from this work who is very much one of my heroes — someone who printed and published his own work. His book Songs of Innocence and Experience watches over me as I write this.
