"La Primavera" is inspired by Aphrodite, an ancient Greek goddess, connected with the Roman goddess Venus and associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation.

Translated into a new form using Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (Spring) that describes freshness and beauty, the bust of Aphrodite is an interrelation between an extraordinary bouquet of delicate white petals and shiny golden spheres in largo; and a sonic visualization resembling a sea foam in allegro. Shadows of the Baroque are combined with the latest generative techniques using code and a procedural computational system. Different tempos are exchanged within the work that captures the basis of the Ritornello form used in Spring (of the Four Seasons).

An optimistic, exuberant and cerebral piece of work is conceived embracing the future of generative art.

Created for the Digital Baroque exhibition.
